Programming

We are thrilled to be able to welcome back in-person tech support and a new PC class for our Senior Computer Center!

In-person One-On-One Tech Support for October:
For in-person tech support on Thursdays with David or Jean, appointments are required. This is in order to make the best use of your time and to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Please make an appointment by filling out this appointment form here. If you are having trouble making an appointment, please call us at 831-420-6180 and we can assist. If there are no options left, select "No options left" and we'll reach out if there are any cancelations or for first-choice options for the next month

Jean Brubeck will be offering Apple Support on Thursdays from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm. Group appointments allow Jean to work with multiple individuals in our lobby at the same time throughout the hour. If you need a full-hour appointment, please book an individual appointment.

David Copp will offer PC/Android Support on Thursdays, from 11:30 - 2:30 pm.

On-going Zoom classes for September are:

Carolyn Wardrip's iDevice Discoveries class scheduled on Tuesdays, October 12 & 26, 2:30 - 4pm has been canceled due to health issues.
​"A few weeks ago I had a heart attack and spent 7 days in the hospital. I have not recovered as quickly as I had hoped, so I am suspending my teaching for the time being. I hope that I will recover over the next months and that there will be a place for me to teach at the Senior Computer Center when that happens. Meanwhile, I want you to know how much I have appreciated and valued the interaction with each of you. Thank you for your interesting and challenging input over the many years (near 20) that I have been teaching at the Center.

Alan & Ernie will offering Building iPad & Photography Skills on Thursday, October 7 & 21, from 2:30 - 4 pm in person and via Zoom. Join Ernie & Alan to learn more about what you can do with your iPad, storing and editing photos on the iPad, and photography in general. New In-Person PC class for October:

Windows 10 Topics, October 19 & 21 from 2 - 4pm. This class will cover some basic Windows 10 concepts: file management, email, internet techniques. Participants will be polled for their additional interests to be covered in this class and in future classes. The class will include demonstrations, suggested practice exercises and resources for the topics that are covered. The goal of the class is to learn a little more about your computer, to gain confidence in using it, to develop techniques to help solve problems with your computer, and lastly, to love your computer.

COVID-19 UPDATE | The City is coordinating closely with our public health officials at the Santa Cruz County Health Department to prevent the further spread COVID-19.
